Held periodically, parishioners are encouraged to share their health with others through an on-site parish donation effort.
Coordinates ministry to those who suffered a loss through death, inquiring if there is anything that can be done to help. Includes initial parish response, parish communication network, like-to-like support, liturgy planning, food preparation and delivery, and hospitality. All families of the previous year's deceased are invited to attend a Mass in November in their honor.
Through donation drives and awareness advertising, this ministry promotes assistance to those adversely affected by the awesome forces of nature.
Several food drives are planned around the year by different parish ministries to assist those less fortunate in meeting basic food needs. These efforts support Deacon Ed's Helping Hands Food Bank. You are welcome to leave donations in the vestibule of the church at every opportunity. Volunteers pick up donated food from the church after Masses and deliver to the Food Bank. Food baskets are distributed by the St. Vincent de Paul Conference.
A meeting of this nationwide non-denomination ministry is hosted at our facilities.
The Order of the Daughters of Isabella is a charitable organization of practicing Catholic women founded on the principle of its motto: Unity, Friendship and Charity. We come together as a sisterhood to uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church, bringing spiritual benefits to our members and contributing to the common good of humanity. By our faith we are called to serve, inspired and challenged to do God's work. We are committed to foster individual participation by way of mutual understanding, charitable activities and social interaction. As we strive for the development of all that is best and truest in womanhood, we emerge in our communities as a positive influence to uphold the high ideals of life and morals. Local Circles meet monthly for a combined business meeting and social gathering. Members act upon the charitable, spiritual, civic, and social programs their circle wishes to take part in or sponsor. The Order of the Daughters of Isabella is open to all women, age 16 and over, who are practicing Catholics. As a member of the Daughters of Isabella, you will have the opportunity to make new friends, express your views, enhance your spiritual life and become as active as you wish. Your talents and energies will be recognized and are needed.
