Addiction is an insidious attack against human life affecting at least 19 million Americans. Pope Francis warned that victims have lost their freedom “enslaved by an addiction we could call chemical.”  However, there is hope and healing.  Parents and family are invited to attend a Catholic addiction recovery support group based on the teachings of Mother Elvira Petrozzi, founder of Comunita Cenacolo.  The meetings are held on the first Saturday of the month following 8 a.m. Mass in the conference room inside the St. Francis Xavier Parish Center.  Please check the monthly calendar of events as the meeting date is subject to change.
